Out of Town… and Almost Back!

I attended the WPPI (Wedding & Portrait Photographers International) Convention in Las Vegas this week! I go mainly to soak in all the information and knowledge that is offered through their classes. I figure if I take away one thing that makes my photography or my business or me better, then it would all have been worth it.

So, we return from Las Vegas tomorrow with a little more knowledge and $2.50 in slot machine winnings.

Here is a random photograph of my son I took last week. I probably have mommy goggles on – but isn’t he the cutest thing!

1 Year Old Colton

I loved photographing and chasing around 1 year old Colton. I was rewarded in the end with an awesome cake smash. I need to photograph more 1 year olds to keep me in shape!

I had the privilege of photographing this 12 day old cutie on what was supposed to be his due date (Valentine’s Day)! I love this first photograph where it looks like his brother is saying, “Uh… What’s he doing?”

Happy Valentine’s Day and Happy Chinese New Year!

When Catherine mentioned she wanted to do her engagement session at the airport, I got really excited! Of course I’ve been around commercial jets when flying and such, but I’ve never gotten to see the small, vintage airplanes that we got to photograph with. Admittedly, I know nothing about airplanes… so when they mentioned things like Mustangs, it went completely over my head. :( But still fun to shoot! The extra bonus for me was getting to photograph their son, Mr. Jeff, as well.

Sharon + Joshua Engaged! – UCLA Engagement Session

I’ve been doing tons of baby sessions lately – so it was a lot of fun for me to change gears for Sharon & Joshua’s engagement session. It was an extra treat for me because they were both up to any ideas I had. As a result, we got some fun photographs in a classroom as well as Powell Library. Yay for their wedding coming up in May!
