Baby Gus 1 Year Session | Venice Baby Photography

I love being able to photograph a baby I’ve photographed before when they’re older. It never ceases to amaze me how much difference a few months makes. Little Gus wasn’t even able to sit up for more than a few seconds by himself when I last photographed him. At 1 year, he’s walking around and saying “ball.”

“Oh please lady.”

When I first met the Trujillo family, I knew I would love the session when I was greeted by two big dogs. Mom and dad were both incredibly outgoing and warm and their 6 month old son was such a joy to photograph. How could you not love his big brown eyes?

I know Nicholas’ mom from my days of working in an office. I had not seen Nicholas since he was teeny tiny so I loved getting to see him all grown up. 6 months older than my son, he was running, climbing, interested in the water and dolphins, and eventually warmed up to me via a bit of peek-a-boo. The first photograph is one of my favorites.

Grace & Mark Belly Session | Long Beach Maternity Photography

Grace was around 38 weeks pregnant when we photographed her maternity session with her husband Mark. She had a great sense of humor and was completely glowing. When I was 38 weeks pregnant, I don’t think I moved from the couch! Can’t wait to meet their little girl!

Grace wanted to reenact the last scene of “Notting Hill.” I love Mark’s expression here.

I only included this one because I like shoes!!!

The Lind Family

A few months ago, I photographed the Lind family’s newborn session. As we all know, newborns dictate the session and things didn’t quite work out as planned. Luckily, I got a chance to reshoot some photographs that we missed. I’m so glad that we did! I especially love the photographs of big sis!

I met the Fung family at Lacy Park in San Marino. What a totally gorgeous park for family photographs and they were dressed perfectly for our session. I couldn’t help but to photograph their matching shoes too!

Since this little cutie pie is a tad older than my son, I was able to see a glimpse into my own future. He can point out where things are, no longer takes a bottle!, and can draw on a chalkboard. Also, Daddy is a great photographer! You just can’t go wrong when you have such a cute subject.

Oh my gosh – I can’t believe this little cutie has already turned 1! When I first met her, she could barely sit up by herself but now it’s a completely different story. She dances on cue, mimics my laughter, and points at animals. I love photographing one year olds – you can see them blossoming right before your eyes.

I want a little girl just so I can put her in bright pink shoes.
