An old high school friend contacted me to see if I would photograph the details and candid moments of her wedding. Um… how fun is that? Not only did I get to photograph the details of her wedding, but I also got excellent food at the end of the day along with the company of old high school friends (and a college roommate!).

I have to admit, although I had a Chinese tea ceremony myself, I never got to photograph one until now. It was super cool to see (and photograph) something new!

How lucky am I to get such beautiful brides & handsome grooms? Millicent & Jevon got married at Grace Hills Church and had their reception at Pacific Hills in Laguna Hills. Great couple, great weather and a photobooth made for a super fun wedding!

I’ve recently joined Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep, a non-profit organization that offers bereavement and remembrance photography for families experiencing the loss of a child, as a volunteer photographer. My husband and I experienced two early losses before the birth of our son and as a result, felt it was extremely important to offer support to others in this sad situation.

The weather couldn’t be more perfect when Jacqueline & Craig got married at the gorgeous Inn at Rancho Santa Fe. I already knew this was going to be a perfect wedding when I met everyone. From Texas, Jacqueline & Craig’s family and friends were so incredibly friendly and excited about the wedding. The constant smiles made my job way too easy!

I think I met two of the nicest people in the world! Charity & Joel had such a beautiful wedding in Fresno, California. After getting dressed, we wandered all around Downtown Fresno with the entire wedding party for some fun shots. After the wedding, Charity & Joel drove off in their red convertible. Awww!

Charity & Joel’s wedding reminded me of exactly why I love photographing weddings – I get to meet great people, great friends, great family.

Stephanie & Quincy’s wedding was such a wonderful way to end my 2008 year. Everything turned out so beautifully and the entire day was full of fun and great family & friends.

Kim & Jared had a gorgeous wedding at the Lakewood Country Club despite the intermittent rain throughout the day. We lucked out because we were still able to hold the ceremony and photograph formals as the rain stopped during those times!

Goodness ~ I am so behind with my blogging! I hope to be able to catch up with some more weddings soon! In the meantime, congratulations to Katrina & Jim! – who had a beautiful wedding at the Lindley Scott House. Katrina & Jim made almost everything themselves and you can tell how amazingly all the details turned out. On a side note, I think Jim’s brother made one of the best best-man speeches I’ve heard to date!
